Privacy Policy

Slate helps people share their availability and get booked. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. We keep it short because the answer is simple: we use only what we need to schedule meetings.

If you have a Slate account

  • Google profile: your name, email address and profile photo, so we can identify you and show your booking page.
  • Calendar free/busy: the start and end times of busy blocks on the calendars you choose, so guests are never offered a time you're unavailable. We don't read event titles, descriptions or attendees.
  • Events we create: when someone books you, we create an event on the calendar you choose, with a Google Meet link if you've enabled it, and update or delete that event if the booking changes.
  • Your settings: event types, availability, and an optional webhook URL.

If you book a meeting

We store the name, email, notes and answers you provide, plus the time you picked, so the host can meet you and you can reschedule or cancel. If you use “Overlay my calendar”, we request free/busy access to your Google Calendar for the current session only. That access is stored in an encrypted cookie in your browser, expires within an hour, and is never saved on our servers.

Google API Services

Slate's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide scheduling features you can see. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and no human reads it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law.

Sharing

We share booking details only with the people in that booking, and with the webhook URL a host sets up. We use infrastructure providers to host the service and database. We never sell personal data.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Doing so cancels upcoming bookings, removes your event types, availability and bookings, and deletes your stored Google tokens. You can also revoke Slate's access from your Google Account permissions.

Security

Sessions are encrypted, cookies are HTTP-only, and Google tokens are only used server-side to talk to Google Calendar.
